Confetti Camera - 3-2-1-Stamp a Royal!

I'm over on the Reverse Confetti blog today to kick off a brand-new Confetti Camera series. What is Confetti Camera? It's a weekly feature, where a Confetti Crew member creates an exclusive project based on a give theme. Our theme this round, called "3-2-1-Stamp," is to use 3 stamp sets, 2 stand-alone dies, and 1 pattern paper pad.

I hope you'll join me on the Reverse Confetti blog for my royal wedding-inspired take on this theme!

And PS, I think I say this every time I see a close-up of my coloring -- it's time for glasses! I can't stay in the lines because I can't see them! 😆

3 Stamp Sets: Magical Day, Hanging Blooms, Bitty Banners
2 Confetti Cuts dies: Stitched Rays Cover Panel, Pierced Round Top Layers
1 Paper Pad: Fun Times

Papertrey Ink May Release - Corner Adorner + Glorious Globes

Welcome to Day 5 of Papertrey Ink's May Release countdown! Today's featured products are Betsy Veldman's Corner Adorner: May and Lizzie Jones's Glorious Globes: May

All of the new products will be available at 10 pm tomorrow, May 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

I've been inspired by all the baby-themed products from this release, so I've combined the Corner Adorner: May bouquet and Glorious Globes: May with some of the sweet Pitter Patterns sentiments and tag diecuts shown earlier in the countdown.

I started with a pair of tags that I diecut with one of the Pitter Patterns tags, one in white card stock and the other from one of the Bitty Big: Limeade Ice patterned papers (also releasing this month).

I did some ink blending in Harvest Gold and Melon Berry along the bottom of the white tag, then added a stamped and die-cut Corner Adorner: May image to the bottom. The flowers are inked in Harvest Gold, then sponged with Melon Berry ink. I used orange and white colored pencils to add some petal detail, then stamped the centers with Stormy Sea ink.

Next I added a stamped and die-cut Glorious Globes: May image and sentiment to the top right of the tag. The "welcome to the world" sentiment is part of the Glorious Globes: May set, and the "sweet baby" that I stamped onto the globe is from Pitter Patterns.

For some fun little details, I also stamped the darling "xoxo" and a scattering of little heart images from Pitter Patterns to the card base.

That pinked and stitched border around the card base was done with the new Noted: Pinked A2 Vertical die set, which is part of this May release. I kept the die in place while I did the ink blending, which allowed me to add some color without adding a layer.

Stamps: Corner Adorner: May, Glorious Globes: May, Pitter Patterns

Dies: Corner Adorner: May, Glorious Globes: Basics, Pitter Patterns

Ink: Aqua Mist, Limeade Ice, Stormy Sea, Harvest Gold, Melon Berry, Smokey Shadow

Paper: Stamper's Select White card stock, Bitty Big: Limeade Ice collection

Other: Havest Gold button, white linen thread, colored pencils, sponge daubers, ink blending tool/foam, foam adhesive

Papertrey Ink May Release - Hashtag Everything + Shape Shifters

Hello, and welcome to Day 2 of Papertrey Ink's May Release countdown! Today I am helping to introduce several new products. First is Lexi Daly's Hashtag Everything collection, which includes the Hashtag Everything stamp set, as well as two companion die sets: Hashtag Everything: Icons and Hashtag Everything: Text Bubbles (all sold separately). Second is the latest in Betsy Veldman's Shape Shifters die series: Shape Shifters: Circle 2

All of the new products will be available at 10 pm May 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

Hashtag Everything is so fun! The set includes oodles and oodles of hashtag sentiments, as well as different eye, mouth, and face options that you can mix and match to make all sorts of emojis.

I thought it would be fun to make emoji balloons, so I gathered up three of them and placed them onto a Balloon Strings die-cut. In the background, I added some festive "confetti" texture with the Shape Shifters: Circle 2 dies.

I stamped one of the many, many Hashtag Everything sentiments onto a Hashtag Everything: Text Bubbles die-cut and then "liked" the hashtag with a die-cut heart.

Stamps: Hashtag Everything

Dies: Hashtag Everything: Icons, Hashtag Everything: Text Bubbles, Shape Shifters: Circles 2, Noted: Simply Stitched A2 Vertical

Ink: Harvest Gold, Tropical Teal, Hawaiian Shores, Pure Poppy, True Black

Paper: Fresh Snow Linen, Stamper's Select White, Smokey Shadow, and Aqua Mist card stock

Reverse Confetti May Release Hop

Hi all! I'm so excited to see Reverse Confetti turn FIVE this month! What a milestone, and a huge congrats to my friend and RC owner Jen del Muro!

The fabulous 5th birthday release is now available in the Reverse Confetti store.

Join the Confetti Crew today for a blog hop to celebrate. The hop begins on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have arrived here from Melissa Phillips's blog.  and you'll head to Tricia Barber's blog next. (The full hop order is down below, too.)

My project today combines the MY TRIBE sentiment set and a tiny peek of PATTERN BLOCKS.
I started by watercoloring a background, then heat embossed a MY TRIBE sentiment in white.

I built a shaker over top the sentiment by stacking a bunch of frame diecuts from the SCALLOPED SQUARES Confetti Cuts set. I used one of the PATTERN BLOCKS images to stamp a pattern onto the top layer of the frame using SUNSHINE, FLAMINGO, and WINE inks.

MY TRIBE has the most amazing sentiments. I'm in LOVE!

That's it for me. Here's the full hop order -- enjoy!

Papertrey Ink April Release - Text & Texture: Agate and Geode Layers

Today is Day One of Papertrey Ink's April release countdown, and I am thrilled to help introduce two new, super cool agate and geode products. The first is the Text & Texture: Agate stamp set, and the second is the Geode Layers die set.

All of the new products will be available at 10 pm ET April 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

My first project features the Text & Texture: Agate stamp set and some ink blending in shades of blue and green. The background stamp is a generous 5 3/4 square, so not only does it cover the full background, but you also have some choice about which parts to show. Also included are a handful of sentiments, the one shown here plus several phrases built around the word "rock."

This background was super fun to play with! I decided to ink blend the concentric circles in different shades of blues and greens, starting with a light Aqua Mist and finishing with Dark Indigo. I added some water splatters and ink splatters for texture. Next, I used some metallic watercolor to paint one of the rings a shimmery gold. The effect in real life is so pretty! I stamped my sentiment in Versamark ink, heat embossed in gold, and stitched it onto the background with gold thread.

I wanted a little more gold, so I added some gold glass glitter around the gold painted ring.

Stamps: Text & Texture: Agate

Ink: Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf, Tropical Teal, Enchanted Evening, Versamark

Paper: Stamper’s Select White, Soft Stone, and vellum card stock

Other: gold and white embossing powder, gold glass glitter, metallic gold watercolor

Next is a look at the Geode Layers die set. For this card, I die-cut the layers from different shades of blue card stock, as well as white and the new gray. I kept my die set together as opposed to snipping the individual rings apart. This allowed me to easily inlay all the rings back into a one-layer geode.

I added a coating of clear glass glitter to mimic the crystal interior of a geode.

And last is a two-toned sentiment from Text & Texture: Agate that I stamped onto a Tremendous Tags die-cut.

Stamps: Text & Texture: Agate

Ink: Aqua Mist, Dark Indigo

Paper: Stamper’s Select White, Fresh Snow Linen, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal, Enchanted Evening, Dark Indigo, New Medium Gray, and Soft Stone card stock

Dies: Geode Layers, Tremendous Tags

Other: clear glass glitter, silver embroidery floss

For my last card, I die-cut a full geode (dies still attached, not cut apart), then watercolored the different Geode Layers rings using reindeers in different shades of purple, along with a hint of metallic gold. I also die-cut a whole bunch of extra geodes from white card stock, then proceeded to "reverse layer" the geode so that the outer rings are raised and the center is recessed. This created a cavity of sorts, which I filled with clear glitter and sequins to make a shaker.

I stamped the Text & Texture: Agate sentiment in white Staz-On onto the acetate layer right over the geode interior. Here you can also see the beautiful gold watercolor shimmer on that one ring.

I placed the finished geode shaker onto a Royal Velvet background stamped with the Text & Texture: Agate background.

Stamps: Text & Texture: Agate

Ink: Lavender Moon, Lilac Grace, Winter Wisteria, Plum Pudding, Royal Velvet; White Staz-On

Paper: Royal Velvet card stock, watercolor paper

Dies: Geode Layers

Other: clear and gold glass glitter, clear sequins, acetate, Mister Huey Opaque White

That's it for me today. Be sure to head over to the Papertrey Ink blog for a look at the rest of today's featured products and lots more inspiration from the design team!

Papertrey Ink March Release: School Days, Great Teachers & Big Apple

Welcome to Day 2 of Papertrey Ink's March release countdown! Today I'm excited to share with you a collection of school-themed products: School Days stamps and dies, Great Teachers stamps and a die set called Big Apple.

All of the new products will be available at 10 pm ET March 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

For my first project, I decided to make a traveler's journal for my youngest son's 5th grade memories. It's so hard to believe, but after 3 kids and 12 consecutive years, this is our last year of elementary school!

On the cover, I've die-cut the Big Apple out of Kraft card stock. The Big Apple die set includes the big apple shape, stem, leaves, and a die that cuts slots to hold gift cards. I've trimmed off the bottom of the apple to fit the shorter height of the booklet.

I stamped the notebook lines from School Days onto the apple, then added the pencil and apple, also from School Days

Last, I added some twine to the stem.

On the title page, I used more pencils, another apple, as well as some of the little word stamps from School Days (grade, teacher, school).

Our school does a really great job of making the 5th grade year super special, so I can't wait to fill this book up with photos from the year!

Stamps: School Days
Ink: Pure Poppy, True Black, Harvest Gold, Fine Linen, Soft Stone, Pale Peony, Fresh Snow
Paper: Stamper’s Select White, Kraft, New Leaf, and Cocoa Bean card stock; Green Parakeet Bitty Big patterned paper
Dies: Big Apple, School Days
Other: True Black baker’s twine

For this next card, I wanted to change up the usual apple colors and try an all-pink palette. I love the super feminine look! The apples and pencil are from School Days.

The sentiment is from Great Teachers. I love the font combination in this teacher-themed sentiment set! Here, I've cut the typewriter parts into strips and stapled them onto my card for a fun teacher-ish touch.

The script part of the sentiment is stamped over the notebook line image from School Days. Last, I added School Days stars in True Black, and also customized one of the apples with the number 5.

The whole card is mounted onto a piece of patterned paper from the Mint Julep Bitty Big paper pack, one of three new Bitty Big collections coming out this month.

Stamps: School Days, Great Teachers
Ink: Pale Peony, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Autumn Rose, Mint Julep, True Black
Paper: Stamper’s Select White card stock, Mint Julep Bitty Big patterned paper
Dies: School Days, Moments Inked: Edged

Other: True Black baker’s twine

My last card combines the big Apple die with another sentiment from Great Teachers for a quick clean-and-simple card.

The apple was cut from Pale Peony card stock and Sheer Basics vellum. The beautiful Great Teachers sentiment is stamped onto the vellum.

I added a Kraft stem and Mint Julep leaves to attach the vellum layer, then topped with some twine.

The background is a combination of white card stock plus True Black and Mint Julep Bitty Big patterns.

Stamps: Great Teachers, School Days
Ink: True Black
Paper: Stamper’s Select White, Kraft and Mint Julep card stock; Mint Julep and True Black Bitty Big patterned paper; Sheer Basics vellum

Dies: Big Apple
Other: True Black baker’s twine

Reverse Confetti March Release Hop

Hello, hello, it's been a while! I'm excited to be part of Reverse Confetti's March Release Blog Hop today. Welcome! The March release, now available in the Reverse Confetti store, includes four new stamp sets, six Confetti Cuts die sets, and a new 6x6 paper pad. I have to say this is my very favorite Reverse Confetti release ever!

My project today features TALL BLOOMS, a beautiful new floral set. I wanted to try some no-line coloring, so I stamped two of the images in a very light waterproof ink onto Reverse Confetti's CLOUD WHITE card stock, then watercolored the images and background. This was a real test for this old girl's eyes, I tell ya! Lots of squinting to find the lines ;)

I die-cut the watercolored panel using a PIERCED ROUND TOP LAYER Confetti Cuts, placed it on a triple-stacked LEAF LATTICE COVER PANEL and then onto a Stone card base. Last, I went back and added an outer wavy stitched frame die-cut from the ALL FRAMED UP Confetti Cuts set.

That's it for me. Here's the full hop order -- enjoy!
